He was predeceased by: his parents, Truman Holt and Lena Bell Holt (Smith); his son Larry Ray Holt; his sister Frieda Fansler; and his brother-in-law Loren "Putt" Fansler.

He is survived by: his wife Velma Lea (Abbott).
