He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd M. Dean and Florene Dean (Holston); his stepfather Isaac Penix; and his sisters, Mavis (Herbert Russell) and Myra (John Bobbitt).
He is survived by: his wife Barbara (Mercer); his siblings, Harold Dean (Lorena) of Vinita and Willa Melton (Jack) of Vinita; his close friend Jimmy Griffith of Vinita; and his mother-in-law Bonnie Dean of Vinita. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
