He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernerst Spurgeon and Doris Cullison Spurgeon; and his wife Ruth Arlene Townsley. He is survived by: his children, Sherrie Carr (David) of Owasso, OK and Rick Spurgeon (Janet) of Saraland, AL; and his grandchildren, Casey, Michael Heidi, Gretchen and Scott. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
