He was predeceased by: his wife Patsy Lakin; his brother Wendell Lakin; and his pets, Dixie and Doobie. He is survived by: his children, Jerry Strain (Christy), Nikki Sparkman (Bryan) and Sarah Troxel; his sister Deana Belshe; and his grandchildren, Chase Strain, Candace Strain, Conner Strain, Tristan Strain, Brenton West, Nathan Rodgers, Blake Rodgers, Ashlee Trammell, Amber Varney, Jessica Dowd and Brittany Bishop. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
