He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Gaines and Sybil Gaines (Whitley); and his grandfather-in-law Rose Ward. He is survived by: his wife Clarissa Gaines; his daughters, Rayanna and Destiny Gaines; his stepdaughters, Michaela and Andrea Knight; his sisters, Kathy Watts and Bonnie (Howard Bates); his brother-in-law Chris Ward; and his close friend Brian Gray.
