With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sue Sparlin of Purcell, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 11, 2020 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lewis Russell Boatwright and Lou Eva Boatwright (Rankin); her husband Arthur David Sparlin; her children, David (Jane Sparlin), Cathy (Tony Ellis), Carol (Monty Marcum) and Mark (Darren Owen); and her siblings, Wanda Newman, Jane Hush, William "Bill" Newman, Betty Verduzco of Little Elm, TX and Jim Newman of Norman, OK.

In Sue's memory, the family asks for memorials to be made to Purcell's First Baptist Church Mission Fund sent to P.O. Box 665, Purcell, OK, 73080.

“Just remembering some fun times at Purcell High: I seem to remember you had a contagious laugh! , but , Mostly, though, I remember getting to spend the night with you and those wonderfully warm quilts on your bed. I don't recall what we talked and laughed about, but your mother reminded us we had school the next day so GET TO SLEEP!”
