He is survived by: his former wife Betty Short; his children, Tonya Shofner Duke (Tracy) of Purcell, Eldon Tate (Kristi) of Purcell, Kevin Tate and Keith Barnett (Fonda) of Wayne; his sister Twana Scalf (Michael) of Blanchard; and his grandchildren, Jade Tate Stow, Jalyn Tate, Shawn Blackmon, Shelby Blackmon, Karrie Tate, Karissa Jones, Kelsey Hyatt, Leah Norman and Cameron Shofner.
