He is survived by: his wife Melanie; his mother Wilma of Monument; his sister Jean Montgomery (Bo); his nieces, Mindy and Katy; his nephew Clint (Cassie) of Colorado; his brother-in-law Richard Nelson (Mulu); his nephews, Remington and Nate of Maryland; and his friends, Renee Kilgore Parson and April Helson.
He led retreats to teach these principles to people with HIV/AIDS at the peak of the pandemic.
