He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Miller and Dolly Matherly (Lowthers); his son Floyd Shafer; and his stepsiblings, Monty Matherly and Cathy Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Miller; his children, Troy Dever of Pryor and Tina Taylor of Tulsa; his siblings, Gaylan Matherly of Mustang, Ron of Stroud, Grant Miller of Stroud, Mike Matherly and Gayla Matherly; his grandchildren, Justin, Connor and Madison; and his great grandchild Lincoln. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
