With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billye Jean Gwartney of Pryor, Oklahoma, born in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 30, 2020 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Burkett and Pearl Burkett (Kern); her husband Walter "Ray" Gwartney; and her sister Carol. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherian Davis (Jerry) of Pryor and Brenda Warren (Jerry) of Whitesboro, Texas; her siblings, Letha Joyce of Tulsa, Connie Chatfield of Tulsa and Bob Burkett of Claremore; and her grandchildren, Shonda Painter (Bruce), Shane Davis (Sherrill), Krista Lyon (David) and Kara Wright (Brandon). She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.
