Katherine Jo Looney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Katherine Jo Looney (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 23, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Royce Dale Looney; her parents, Ira J. McMahill (Nellie Kesterson McMahill) and Nellie McMahill; her stepmother Faye McMahill; her siblings, Charles, Ira J. Jr., George Stephen, Harold Gene, Robert Dean, Lela Mae Oden, Mary Jane McMahill and Virginia Lee Griffin; her son-in-law Billy Ray Bissell; and her grandmother Jo.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathey Jean Bissell of Oklahoma City; her grandson Jason Ray (Leslie); her great grandchildren, Hunter Ray (Avery) of Commerce, Oklahoma. and Leeland James of Commerce, Oklahoma.; and her aunt Jo. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of dear friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Vondel Smith & Sons Mortuary South Colonial Chapel (6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary South Colonial Chapel (6934 S Western Ave, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A burial was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Resthaven Memory Gardens - Oklahoma City (500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73159).
