It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Whitener (Newcastle, Oklahoma), born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 13, 2019, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Reuben Clark and Helen Lucille Clark (Flint); her sister Janet Cox; and her former husband Wayne Allan Whitener, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Allan Whitener, Jr. of Newcastle and Lori Cox (Jason) of Bridge Creek; her grandchildren, Laney Nicole Workman of Bridge Creek, Blake Norman Cox of Bridge Creek and Taylor Lane Cox of Bridge Creek; her siblings, Janice Krivanek of Mustang and Kenneth Clark (Lucille) of Oklahoma City; her brother-in-law Dwane Cox of Arcadia; and her nieces and nephews, Emily Johnson of Oklahoma City, Kenneth Clark, Jr. (Cyndi) of Blanchard, Robert Krivanek of Wyoming, Kyle Krivanek of Mustang and Rose Cox of Arcadia.
Although Alzheimer's stole many things from Mom, she never forgot the words "Oh, I love you" and always made sure to say thank you and had a hug for everyone.
