He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Munford Dougherty and Ottie Faye Dougherty (Ford); and his brother Cliff Dougherty. He is survived by: his wife Karen Dougherty of Newcastle; his daughters, Tammy Clark (Danny) of Mariposa and Missy Dougherty of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Andrew Clark of California, Michael Rios of California, Molly Osburn of Oregon and Serena Rios of California; and his sister-in-law Zoria Dougherty of Newcastle. He is also survived by two nieces and their families, Patrice Wesnidge and husband, Steve, of Newcastle, and Kim O'Dell and husband, Larry, of Newcastle; and many other relatives and friends.
