It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. E. Choate of Newcastle, Oklahoma, born in Commerce, Oklahoma, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Choate and Mary Choate; his son Jeffrey Choate; his siblings, Leroy, Charlie, Bill, Imogene, Corina and Emily; and his daughter-in-law Lynne Choate.
He is survived by: his children, David Choate (Sandy) of Newport, Johnny Choate Jr. of Beaufort, Eddie Choate (Amanda) of Newcastle, Sherry Dean of Beaufort, Tina Willis of Beaufort and Johnna Choate of Norman, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a host of loving extended family and dear friends.
