In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact John Wayne had on those he encountered along his journey. Though John Wayne may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, L. D. Ewy and Harriet Ewy; his son Jered Ewy; his sister Loretta Holland; and his brother-in-law Tom Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Ann; his daughter Penny; his son-in-law Rob Clark; his daughter Michelle Davis; and his sister Carol Smith. He is also survived by four grandchildren, one great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home & Memory Gardens (500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Resthaven Memory Gardens (500 SW 104th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73139).
