He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Oliver and Sarah Callie Troxel (Doyle); his wife Ida Lee Blundell; and his brother J. W. Troxel. He is survived by: his children, Donald Ray Troxel (Shirl) of Ratliff City, Sharon Kay Cartwright (Randy) of Kearney, MO and Elizabeth Ann Anderson of Marlow; his grandchildren, Tracy Nichols, Randy Cartwright, Nikki Anderson, Jenny Rivera, Courtney Troxel, Brent Cartwright and Julie Myers; his great grandchildren, Whitney, Meagan, Justin, Kaylee, Eric, Callie, Kasen, Gracie, Cashton, Aiden, Brenley, Ashelynn, Blake and Ryker; and his great great grandchildren, Kevin and Mason. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many great friends.
