He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dwight Blackburn and May Blackburn; his wife Oleta Henderson; his children, Randy Blackburn (Brenda) of Hollandale, Mississippi, Julie Leippe (Karl) and Joni Blackburn of Marlow; his grandchildren, Austin Leippe of Marlow, Taylor Leippe of Oklahoma City and Holly Claire Millican of Chicago, Illinois; his siblings, William Don Blackburn (Wilma) of Roanoke, Jimmy Blackburn (Ginger) of Marlow, Danny Blackburn (Marilyn) of Bartlesville and Linda Scott (Larry) of Duncan; and his siblings-in-law, Wanda Floyd of Duncan, Carol and Marcena Henderson of Mead. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
