He is survived by: his children, Charles "Bub" Matthews (Jeanette) of Ada, Terry Matthews of Norman, Tony Matthews (Carla) of Ada, Jimmy Poplin (Shelly) of Central High, Oklahoma, Melinda Matthews of Norman and Sherry Shipman (Ronnie) of Marlow; his siblings, Jim Matthews (Jeanne) of San Antonio, Don Matthews of Ada, Oklahoma and Mary Ann McGill of Davis, Oklahoma; and his siblings-in-law, Darlene Scoonover of Duncan and Dale Woods of Francis, Oklahoma.. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
