He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie Hemenway and Iola Mae Alread (Phillips); his brother Ronald Hemenway; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Brownell, Bill Brownell, Vernon Brownell and Joe Brownell.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Robyn Proctor (James) of Spokane and Shannon Stabell of Ridgefield, Washington; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn Stabell and Meagan Stabell; his brothers, Lonnie Hemenway (Marsha) of California and C. B. Hemenway of California; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Brownell, Loren Brownell and Steve Brownell.
