He is survived by: his wife Janis Howeth; his children, Greg Asher (Tonya) of Kansas, Cathy Asher of Kansas and John Asher (Michelle) of Kansas, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Rose Welch of Kansas and Howard Asher (Marilyn). He is also survived by three grandchildren.
