He was predeceased by: his parents, Onis Holmes and Velma L. Holmes (Adney); his brother Onis Keith Holmes; and his grandparents, Bill, Hazel Holmes, Tom and Iva Adney.
He is survived by: his pet Lil Bear; his children, Lisa Splawn (Chad) of Matthews and Grant Holmes (Shannon) of Selvin, Indiana; his fiancée Vicki Day of Haskell, Oklahoma; his stepson Cody Day of Indiana; and his sister Vickie Thacker (Tom) of Holland, Indiana. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
