He was predeceased by: his father Bill Dean Parsons; and his stepfather Morris Shaw. He is survived by: his mother Beverly S. Shaw (Rolens-Parsons); his wife Renee Parsons; his daughter Faith Parsons; his sister Brenda; his brother-in-law Mike Boswell; his brother Bill; and his sister-in-law Tammy Thogmartin. He is also survived by nieces, nephew's sister in-laws.
