She was predeceased by: her parents, John Karr and Georgia Karr (Poole); her sisters, Tennie Dale McKinney-Goswick and Barbara Thompson; her husband H. D. Hairfield Jr.; and her granddaughter Julie Ann Hairfield.
She is survived by: her children, H. D. Hairfield III (Betty Sue), John Charles Hairfield (Pamela) and Gee Gee Simmons (Hairfield); and her grandchildren, Matthew Hairfield, Michael Hairfield, Ashlyn Chandler (Hairfield) and Jennifer Stevens (Hairfield). She is also survived by six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
