He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harrison and Lucy Belle Pruitt Smithee; his wife Winnie Willmon; his son-in-law Richard Haynie; and his great grandchild Cole Watson.
He is survived by: his children, Shelba Haynie of Eufaula, Dennis Smithee of Eufaula and Ken Smithee (Shelby) of Larkspur, CO; and his granddaughter Kristen Watson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
