She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Thomas and Bessie Flud (Adams); and her grandson Fines Sturgeon (Harold Newton). She is survived by: her husband Harold Newton; her children, Wesley Whaley (Dena) of Keota, Tony Newton (Stephanie) of Eufaula, Harold Wayne Newton, Jr. of Eufaula and Pamela Sturgeon of Eufaula; and her sisters, Lorene Pogue of Indiana and Faye Daniel of Arkansas. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
