He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Heatherly and Lilly Allen (Duncan); his daughter Kathy; and his siblings, Alton Sadler, Layman Sadler, Ira Allen, J. T. Allen, Bonnie Wilma Marshall and Esther Baza.

He is survived by: his son David; his nieces, Glenda Arnett, Ruth Gill, Karen Piper and Sherry Crandall; and his nephew Gaylen Marshall.
