He was predeceased by: his father Billy Don Long. He is survived by: his wife Mary Long; his mother Sue Long (Robertson) of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; his children, Stephanie Griffin (Seth) of Cisco, Rebecca Edrington (Aaron) of Humble, Texas and Joshua Long (Amber) of Brownwood, Texas; his grandsons, Tristian Griffin of Cisco, Gryder Griffin of Cisco, Joseph Edrington of Humble and Hagen Long of Brownwood, Texas; and his siblings, Donnie Long (Sheila) of Durant, Oklahoma and Sheila Timberlake of Calera. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
