He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Ray and Tiny Marie; and his siblings, Aileen Wallace, Dale, Johnny, Richard and Tom Gibson.
He is survived by: his wife Lovell Gilmore; his children, Jerry Lynn Gibson (LaRhonda), Wayne Gibson (Jennifer), Bryan Gibson, Jeff Gibson (Jennifer), Timmy Gibson and Patricia Gibson (John); and his siblings, Paul Gibson (Mavis), Joney Gibson (Valerie), David "Pete" Gibson (Karen), Laverne Neece, Sherry Slater (Mike), Brenda Maples (Danny) and Ruth Ponder. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
