He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Russell and Frances Grace Mayes (Goodwin); and his sister Peggy Ann Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Saundra Mayes; his children, Mark Mayes (Pam), Greg Mayes (Joni), Jason Mayes, Cheri Boyd (James) and Patty Davis (Mel); and his brothers, Russell Mayes (Betty) and Forrest Mayes (Debbie). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.
