She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Wesley Sewell and Grace Lee Sewell (Carr); her son Larry Wayne Phillips; and her siblings, Mary, James Sewell and Rick Sewell.
She is survived by: her spouse J. R. Phillips; her children, Becky Phillips of Durant, Brian Phillips of Durant and James Phillips of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and her siblings, Kay Chandler of Durant, Donnie Sewell of Boswell and Frances Unbehandt of Ahtlens, Georgia. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
