Christopher Scott Newell Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Scott Newell in Durant, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 10, 2020, at the age of 47, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Nancy Lou, Gerold Taylor, Darlyene and Loyall Newell, Jr.. He is survived by: his parents, Greg Newell and Cindy Newell (Taylor) of Durant; his sister Carie; his brother-in-law James Dry of Durant; his brother Matt; his sister-in-law Kaylie Newell of Medford; his nieces and nephews, Kannon, Nic, Karson, Tucker, Noah Scott Dry of Durant, Lucy and Clara Newell of Medford; his aunts and uncles, Gloria (Joe Newell), Debbie (Perrie Seyffer), Scott Taylor and Mark Taylor; his great-aunt Barb Platoff of Clay Center; his cousins, Sarah Massie (Jon), Caddie Baldwin, Ben Newell (Jenny), Heidi Densmore (Stefan), Autumn, Daniel Thurman and T. J. White; and also, Axel, Aspen, Ayce and Gavin. He is also survived by nephews or nieces.

All donations will be used to support the Humane Society, and Scott's lifelong interest in Durant Athletics.
