With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Argus Hinton (Bethany, Oklahoma), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though James Argus may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lee Hinton and Caldonia Isabelle Carden Hinton; and his siblings, William Lee Hinton, Jr. (Bill) and Nola C. Uhlfelder. He is survived by: his wife Norma Hurst; and his children, Richard Hinton (Julie), Larry Hinton (Tammy) and Sharon Tucker (Jeff). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Putnam City United Methodist Church, National Jewish Hospital who helped Argus overcome his lung issue or the charity of your choice.
