He was predeceased by: his parents, Lamar Vaughn and Bonnie Vaughn (Bunting); his daughter Tammy Lyn Vaughn Bruner; and his brothers, Bobby Gene Vaughn and Lamar Vaughn Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Cowan; his son Tim (Tammy Vaughn); his granddaughter Brandi (Andrew Cole); his sisters, Brenda Vaughn Wood and Valarie K. Vaughn (Philip Warnick); his grandchildren, Devin (Lori Just), Desirea Bruner, Windell Bruner and Katie Vaughn; and his great grandchildren, Brittany, Liam and Kross.
