He was predeceased by: his parent Milburn Joyce Franks. He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Joy Franks (Orr); his children, Noah Franks and Madeline Franks; his siblings, Monique Wharton and Mark Franks; and his nieces, Brittney Franks and Madi Moody.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Philips Episcopal Church memorial fund.
