He is survived by: his wife Ada Jean Brewer Ervin; his children, Robert Ervin Jr. (Deborah), Lori VanMeter and Steven Ervin (Kathy); his sisters, Mary Jane Whitehead and Gail Penrod; and his grandchildren, Jacob Ervin, Amanda Ervin, Steven Ervin, Thomas Ervin, Chad VanMeter and Megan VanMeter.
