He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce C. Kirk; and his daughter Tracey Driskell. He is survived by: his cousins, Pastor Robert Lockett and Reverend Willa Ervin Lockett; his former wife Delores Smith; his children, Tanisha, Pamela Kirk Snowden of Atlanta, Yolanda Kirk of Atlanta and Eric Robert Kirk of Atlanta; his daughter-in-law Michelle Kirk; his grandchildren, Bernard III, Tierra, Toyia, Kelvin, Aniya, Tahlia, John III and Mason; and his cousins, Minnie Erkard, Bonnie Little and Roosevelt Thompson.
