It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Carey (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 22, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roosevelt Carey and Lillie Carey; and his siblings, Ernest "Herky" Carey Sr. and Nancy Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Carey; his children, Rashad "Shotty" Pennington, Darlene Kirkland, Rhonda Glover, Kimberley Gunn and Rosalyn Carey; and his sister Alice Kirkland. He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; other relatives and dear friends.
