Raymond D. Popovich Obituary

We are sad to announce that on July 27, 2020, at the age of 100, Raymond D. Popovich of Youngstown, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Popovich and Anna Ellis Popovich. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis L. Ganofsky Popovich; his children, Susan Drombetta (Gene) of Moneta, James Popovich of Newton Falls, Richard Popovich (Samie Winick) of Green Township, Nancy Hanna of Boardman, Janet Vankovich (Bobby Davis) of Youngstown and Jeanne Hinote (Chris) of Osawatomie, Kansas; his brother Henry "Hank" Popovich of New Middletown; his sisters-in-law, Dee Horne and Bernadette Melnick; his children-in-law, Shelia Popovich and Joseph Hanna; and his siblings, Anne Gething, Mary Kosmo, Thomas Popovich, Edward Popovich, John Popovich, Joseph Popovich, Paul Popovich, Dorothy Ferkula and Frances Atwood. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson.

Due to the current virus pandemic, there will be no public calling hours, and a private service will take place at Kinnick Funeral Home in Youngstown.
