She is survived by: her children, Anthony Helms (Mia) of Burlington, NJ, Stephen Helms of Youngstown, John M. Helms (Luisa) of Youngstown, Phillips L. Shavers of Columbus, Ronnie L. Helms of Marion, Valerie L. Helms (Maurice Hunt) of Youngstown and Rosyln Helms of Youngstown; and her siblings, Lillian Thompson (Kenneth) of Englewood, CA, Peggy A. Smalls of Youngstown, Maxine Nuby of Victorville, CA and Samuel Bryant (Loretta) of Los Angeles, CA. She is also survived by grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren, other family and friends.
