She was predeceased by: her parents, John Horney and Theresa Horney (Dudash); her husband Paul H. Polando; her son John P. Polando; and her brothers, Joseph, John (Anna), Michael (Jean), Andrew (Ann), Steve (Margaret) and Paul Horney.
She is survived by: her son Paul M. (Toni Lynn); her daughter-in-law Michele S.; her grandchildren, Michael Polando (Charlotte), Suzanne Rosser (Jeffrey), Kristen Von Graff (Scott), Deborah Scanlon (Jeffrey), Patricia Naretta (Michael), Kathleen Sutherwood (Carl), Meredith Elisio (Eric) and Evan Polando; and her great grandchildren, Stephen, Saffron Polando, Jordin, Kyle Rosser, Anthony, Matthew Von Graff, Luke, Henry Naretta, Autumn Sutherwood, Athena, Samuel and Oliver Elisio.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's name to the Cathedral of Saint Columba Food Pantry or the Dorothy Day Hospitality House on Belmont Avenue in Youngstown.
