It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Alice Hunt (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Anniston, Alabama, who passed away on December 4, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ethel Louise Kirkland-Bagley and Thaddeus Christian Sr.; her husband Robert E. Hunt; her grandparents, Leroy and Rosa Kirkland; and her great-grandparents, Big John, Henrietta James-Roland, Robert and Ann Blewster-Kirkland.
She is survived by: her daughters, Valarie Renee Willis and Joyce Ann Black (James) of Indianapolis, Indiana.; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Dodd (Mike) of Indianapolis, Ivan Butler (Nichelle) of Indianapolis, James Black, Jr. of Indianapolis, Ragan Matthews of Indianapolis and Joynita Willis of Stone Mountain, Georgia.; her siblings, Brenda Tyus, Walter Christian Sr. of Anniston, Alabama. and Harry Christian (Phronia) of Anniston, Alabama.; her cousins, Fayette Moore, Jr. (Flo) of Prince George, Virginia, Terri Young (Ronald) of Charlotte, Gayle Mahone and Denise Warren of Youngstown, Ohio.; her siblings, Frances Pearson, Edward Christian, Arthur Frank Christian, Thaddeus Christian Jr. and Raymond Williams; her grandson Ronald "Junie" Butler, Jr.; her aunts and uncles, Leroy, Thomas Christian, Adored, Zelma Kirkland, Mary Alice Roland-Crawford, Sarah Roland-Mickles, Rosetta Miller and Lucille Moore; and her stepmother Roena Christian.
