With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Durkin (Youngstown, Ohio), born in Struthers, Ohio, who passed away on August 24, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Durkin and Ann Ferguson Denmeade; his wife Ann Bator; his grandchildren, Paige Anne Mershimer and Nicholas Rucci; his son-in-law Nicholas Rucci; and his half-siblings, Allen Denmeade and Martha Denmeade.
He is survived by: his children, Jacquelyn Scarnecchia of Youngstown, Kathleen Elliot of North Lima, Linda Bradley (John) of Girard, Laura Rucci of Struthers, John Durkin, Jr. (Heidi) of Phoenix, Brian Durkin (Beth) of Poland and Mary Beth Mershimer (Rick) of New Middletown. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
