It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Ellen Eddy of Woodsfield, Ohio, born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, who passed away on February 7, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Deitch and Blanche Deitch; her siblings, Don, Ralph, Gene Deitch and Gaynell Auten; and her son Richard Eddy, Sr..

She is survived by: her husband Paul Eddy; her children, Jim Roberts (Brenda), Terry Roberts, Bob Eddy (Sally), Sherry Johnson (Phil) and Paula Summers; her grandchildren, Justin Roberts (Kimberly), Chelsie Brown (Tucker), Dalton Roberts, Tasha Headley (Aaron), Philena Paher (David), Jennifer Munoz, Caitlin Johnson, Dylan Johnson (Cassandra), RJ Eddy, Jonathan Eddy (Mikayla), Tyler Eddy and Keith Summers; and her brothers, Bob Deitch and Duane Deitch (Carol). She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

“So sorry to learn of Mary’s passing . I worked with her at Dr Kerr’s office and enjoyed getting to know her. We shared the same last name but are not related. She shared her casserole recipes with us . She knew how to feed her blended family with some great creativity. It has been about 38 years since we last saw each other! I moved to a Maryland while expecting twins . Fondest memories of a very sweet lady . Wishing her family and friends comfort in all your memories. Sue Eddy”
