He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey Hartshorn and Nellie Hines Hartshorn; his wife Emily Ann Hartshorn; his children, Deb Schumacher and Terry Hartshorn; his siblings, Charles Hartshorn, Carolyn Hartshorn Kindle, Eileen Stevens and Marlene Hartshorn; his grandson Daniel Ludwig; and his son-in-law Glenn Ludwig.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Ludwig of Woodsfield, Ohio and Julie Winland of Woodsfield, Ohio; his son-in-law Perry Schumacher of Woodsfield, Ohio; his grandchildren, Jason Ludwig, Brad Ludwig (Alisha), Allison Juszczak (Andrew), Aaron Winland (Jerrica), Andrew Schumacher (Lynsey), Leah Clift (Cass) and Kelly Winland (Rob Lumbatis); and his great grandchildren, Lacy Ludwig, Lawson Ludwig, Ivory Ludwig, Rylar Clift, Malcolm Schumacher, Theodore Juszczak and Lumbatis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
