He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert W. Mattern and Louise Stonebraker Mattern; and his son Tobby Mattern. He is survived by: his son Jason R. Mattern of Wintersville; his daughter-in-law Lamantia of Wintersville; his grandchildren, Patrick, Emily, Jocelyn Mattern, Jensen Brooks, Vanessa, Stephanie Jackson and John Yanero; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Aryan, Remmington, Olivia Mattern, Brady, Skylar, James and Bentley Miser.
