He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gute and Rose Gute (Kennebeck); his sister Phyllis Schroeder; his brother-in-law Alfred Schroeder; and his mother-in-law Juanita Finnegan.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Delaney (Finnegan); his stepchildren, Mike Delaney and Sheri Delaney; and his brother Jerome (Diane) of Willey, IA. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
