He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph William Lipan and Gloria Mae Lipan. He is survived by: his son Joseph Christopher Lipan (Oregon); his grandchildren, Ella Woodard and Donovan Lipan; his sister Vicki Hirkala (Richard); his niece Natalie Petrelle (Cole); and his nephews, Matthew Hirkala and Corey Hirkala (Samantha).
