He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Hightower and Queen Easter Hightower; his wife Elanor Grimm; and his siblings, Katie Mae Hightower, Easter B. Solomon, Mary Hightower, Hattie Hightower, Willie Mae Hightower, Willie James, John and Wade Hightower.
He is survived by: his children, Sunta Grimm of Steubenville, Bobby Hightower (Fawn) of Unadilla, GA and Teka Lanham (James) of Steubenville; and his sisters, Odell Hightower of Wierton, Amanda Bukles of Atlanta, GA and Annie Mae Hooten of Marshallville, GA. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
