He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Elkins and Geneveive Hayes Elkins; and his sister Genny "GenGen" Elkins. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jo Elkins; his sons, Robert Tyler Elkins and James Kyle Elkins; his grandchildren, McKinna Elkins, Brenson Elkins and Kaia Elkins; and his siblings, Bill Elkins of Sardinia, Buddy Elkins (Melba) of Hillsboro, Marvin Shaffer (Jamie) of Kansas City, MO and Susan Able of Sardinia.

Contributions in Robert's memory may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
