It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Jo Howell of Wilmington, Ohio, born in Xenia, Ohio, who passed away on January 3, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert McKay and Ada McKay (Mills); her husband John W. Howell; her grandson Eric Greene; her sister Lois; her brother-in-law Duane Ervin; her brothers, Wilbur (Ada McKay), Robert (Anamae McKay) and Richard (Joan McKay); and her sister-in-law Judy McKay.

She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Eifert (Ken) of Troy, Kathy Borton (Craig) of Wilmington and Kimberly Snyder (Damian) of Wilmington; her grandchildren, Evan W. Greene (Ashley) of Lore City, Andrew "Andy" Borton of Wilmington, Alan Borton (Alisha) of Wilmington, Raegan Eltzroth (Dylan) of Defiance, Brynne Snyder of Wilmington, Kari Jo Snyder of Wilmington, Tiffany Cochran (Bill) of Columbus and Christopher Eifert of Columbus; her great grandchildren, Ty Greene, Justin Greene, Savannah Greene, Sydney Greene, Asher Cochran, Annalynn Cochran, Natalie Borton, Elizabeth "Charlie" Borton and Kendyl Eltzroth; and her siblings, Jeannette Musser (Vernon) of Columbus, Rosalie Beers (John) of Wilmington and Frank McKay of Wilmington. She is also survived by her family, she adored her husband and children.
